[Intel CEO: Rapid Adoption of Cutting-Edge Models in China]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger stated on Monday that the token cost of cutting-edge AI models in China has consistently been low, and their adoption rate has been very rapid.
During a panel discussion organized by DBS Bank on October 12, Gelsinger noted that the performance of Chinese AI models such as DeepSeek, Kimi, and GLM is 'already good enough.'
'I am a strong advocate for open source, as it is the best way to improve efficiency,' Gelsinger said. He added that the market will determine which models are best suited for different application scenarios.
He also mentioned that quantum computing could become mainstream within the next three to five years, and software will play a role in improving the efficiency of some essential infrastructure.
