I think the most underrated positive development for Binance recently isn’t about how many new coins they’ve listed, but how they’re starting to bring crypto users into the global asset market.
Binance now has over 300 million users. In just 30 days since Direct Stocks launched, users have held over $1 billion in U.S. stocks and ETFs, with total trading volume exceeding $3 billion. Crypto, stablecoins, and U.S. stocks are now being integrated into a single account.
This feels like Binance’s next phase: competing not just for crypto trading volume, but also as the gateway for global users to access various asset classes.
However, the bigger the gateway, the more important it is to prepare for security in advance. That’s why I’ve started paying attention to @1096361BTC’s MBTC. It doesn’t treat quantum threats as an immediate crisis but instead encourages more people to discuss the long-term security of early BTC addresses from Satoshi’s era.
I’d like to ask @cz_binance: Will Binance incorporate post-quantum security into its long-term plans?
And also @heyibinance: If one day a method to break ECDSA emerges, should major exchanges proactively disclose a BTC address migration plan in advance?
