OKX's sponsorship of the McLaren team can be considered a classic case of massive success in global commercial brand promotion.
Signed in 2022, McLaren clinched the team championship in 2024, and by 2025, they secured both titles.
F1 has 827 million fans worldwide, with a 12% annual growth rate. In China alone, there are over 200 million fans, growing by 30%.
In the first half of 2025, F1 generated $665 million in exposure value for sponsors, with over 60% coming from social media. McLaren brought $62.8 million in social media value to its partners, ranking second overall.
At last year’s Australian Grand Prix, OKX was the second most valuable brand on-site, worth $1.7 million, only behind Red Bull.
Starting from the 2022 Miami Grand Prix, OKX branding appeared on the car—rear wing, front wing, mirrors, cockpit sides, nose cone, inner halo—all covered. The drivers’ helmets and race suits also featured the logo. In 2024, it’ll be added to the side pods, appearing across 20 races.
Helmets and race suits are the most frequently captured areas by cameras—on the starting grid, podium, and during interviews, they’re always in the frame.
In the first year alone, the sponsorship achieved 1 billion exposures, and now OKX is one of the top 10 F1 sponsor brands.
In 2023, the LEGO Speed Champions McLaren model featured all the sponsors from that year’s car, including OKX. With 269 pieces, it became one of the highest-rated F1 items in the Speed Champions series.
In March 2026, LEGO will release a 1:8 Technic MCL39 model with 1,675 pieces to commemorate McLaren’s 2025 double championship. Place the car in your living room, and the sponsor logos will be displayed alongside it.
On McLaren’s side, the number of sponsors grew from 65 to 75. In 2026, Mastercard will pay $100 million per season to secure the title sponsorship.
