**[Odyssey Releases World Model Odyssey-3]** According to a report by The Decoder on October 11, as cited by Jinse Finance, California-based AI company Odyssey has released the public research preview of its world model, Odyssey-3. Users can generate interactive environments in real-time through text prompts and freely explore them, while developers can apply for API access. The model is based on an autoregressive diffusion Transformer, with the base version featuring 14 billion parameters and outputting a resolution of 832×480, while the Pro version supports 1280×720 resolution. The company stated that the Pro version achieved a score of 66.1 on the Physics-IQ video physics benchmark. However, this score was based on a single test and used an eight-out-of-one selection method, which does not meet the benchmark's "four tests with standard deviation reporting" requirement for record submission. Without the selection method, the average score across four tests was 63.37. In the WorldMark benchmark's four categories, Odyssey-3 ranked first in three. Founded in 2023, Odyssey secured $310 million in funding in June 2026, with participation from Amazon, AMD Ventures, and others. Competitors in the same field include Google's DeepMind Genie 3 and World Labs, founded by Fei-Fei Li. AMD is reportedly planning to acquire World Labs for approximately $8.2 billion.
