According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on October 11, Bernama reported that a man from Perak, Malaysia, allegedly had his crypto wallet hacked, resulting in a loss of approximately 12.47 million MYR (around $3.05 million). The Perak Police Chief stated that the victim discovered on the afternoon of October 9 that his crypto assets had been transferred out without authorization. Preliminary investigations revealed that the transactions were conducted via blockchain networks. The police are collaborating with the cryptocurrency division of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department to trace the flow of funds and investigate those involved. The case is currently being investigated under Section 420 of the Malaysian Penal Code, which pertains to fraud, while the specific attack method has not yet been disclosed.
