According to Bernama, a man in Perak, Malaysia, reportedly had his crypto wallet hacked, resulting in a loss of approximately RM12.47 million (around $3.05 million). The Perak Police Chief stated that the victim discovered on the afternoon of October 9 that his crypto assets had been transferred without authorization. Preliminary investigations revealed that the transactions were conducted via blockchain networks. The police are currently working with the Commercial Crime Investigation Department's cryptocurrency unit to trace the flow of funds and investigate those involved. The case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Malaysian Penal Code for fraud, though the specific attack method has not yet been disclosed.
