Many friends went to 2049, but I didn’t go this time. Mainly because I felt embarrassed—BTC has gone up so much, everyone’s making money, and here I am missing out and even losing money. No face to show up!
Really regret not going this time and missing out on seeing Brother Sun. But judging from the photos, Brother Sun is looking great—radiant complexion, glowing with health. Very impressive!
After checking out HTX’s trip to Singapore for TOKEN2049, here are my thoughts:
My biggest takeaway isn’t “the event was lively,” but rather how competition among exchanges is shifting—from fighting for traffic to building relationships.
Products can be copied, fees can be matched, but the trust and sense of belonging users feel toward a platform can’t be bought with money in the short term.
HTX prepared for over two months for this event. On the surface, it looks like different activities, but behind the scenes, it’s all about serving users at different stages: core users need in-depth communication, long-time users need a sense of belonging, and new users need an entry point to understand the platform.
What’s truly commendable is that HTX isn’t just focused on the size of assets in accounts. They repeatedly emphasize: whether you’re a big player or a small one, you’re equally important.
In the Web3 industry, switching platforms has almost no barriers. The reason users stay today might be the product, but the reason they stay long-term will definitely be trust.
For a veteran exchange to survive multiple cycles, it’s never just about trading volume. It’s about consistently showing up, listening sincerely, and treating users as partners.
This trip to Singapore wasn’t just about HTX showcasing its brand presence—it was about demonstrating a commitment to long-termism. If they keep up this level of dedication and warmth, the road ahead will only get brighter.
