Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on October 10, according to Jintou Data, from October 8 to 9, Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and European Commission's Trade and Economic Security Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič jointly presided over the second regular meeting of the China-EU Trade and Investment Consultation Mechanism in Beijing. The head of the European Affairs Department of the Ministry of Commerce interpreted that both sides agreed to further leverage the role of the export control dialogue mechanism and strengthen policy communication to maintain the stability and smooth operation of global industrial and supply chains. Regarding compliance trade of dual-use items, the two sides explored the possibility of mutually introducing facilitation measures, with the EU side expressing consideration of adopting facilitation measures for China. Additionally, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to addressing mutual concerns in the field of export controls, with the EU side continuing to push for progress in resolving key licensing cases for dual-use items involving China. The two sides also agreed to enhance communication on the issue of sanction list transfers and support the substantive initiation of mutual transfer processes within their respective legal frameworks.
