[Former FTX COO Criticizes Netflix's New Series 'The Altruists': Says the Trailer Made Her 'Physically Uncomfortable'] According to Deep Tide TechFlow on October 10, The Block reported that former FTX Chief Operating Officer Constance Wang publicly criticized Netflix's upcoming FTX-themed series 'The Altruists.' Wang posted on the X platform, stating that watching the trailer for the series made her feel 'physically uncomfortable' and claimed that the depiction of FTX's work environment in the show is severely inaccurate. She noted that FTX had fewer than 200 employees, many of whom worked 16 to 18 hours a day, contrary to the 'party' atmosphere portrayed in the series. Wang also took issue with the portrayal of the romantic relationship between Caroline Ellison and SBF in the show, stating that their relationship was little known among internal staff before the bankruptcy. She concluded by saying, 'The collapse of FTX destroyed many people's lives, including our own, yet Netflix decided to turn it into a love story.' The series, consisting of eight episodes, is set to premiere on Netflix on November 19.
