Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on October 10, according to Cointelegraph, hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger issued an important security announcement stating that it is conducting an internal investigation into a series of incidents involving user fund losses, all of which trace back to a distributor located in the Southeast Asia region. Ledger noted that recently, they received reports from multiple users claiming that they experienced asset theft or access issues while using hardware wallets obtained through distribution channels in this region. After preliminary data analysis and tracing, the company discovered that the affected accounts share common background characteristics, strongly suggesting a connection to the distributor's operations. Currently, Ledger has issued an urgent warning to all potentially affected parties, urging users who purchased products in this region to immediately verify the security of their devices. Additionally, the company stated that it will fully cooperate with affected users in evidence collection efforts to determine the specific theft pathways. Ledger once again emphasized that users should only purchase products through officially authorized channels to ensure security.
