[Sophos Integrates OpenAI Daybreak Model, Reduces Threat Investigation Time by 96%]
DeepTech TechFlow reports: On October 9, according to OpenAI, cybersecurity service provider Sophos has integrated its Daybreak project model. By deploying artificial intelligence agents (AI Agents), Sophos has reduced the average response time for security incidents from approximately 38 minutes to 89 seconds, cutting investigation time by 96%, and achieving 52% end-to-end automation in Managed Detection and Response (MDR) cases.
This collaboration is based on the Sophos Fusion security defense system, which aggregates trillions of events daily from over 500 third-party integrations, distilling them into 1,000 to 2,000 cases assigned to the Security Operations Center (SOC). With the integration of Daybreak, investigative agents are responsible for collecting indicators of compromise (IoCs) and threat intelligence, while the planning model generates response recommendations through a "plan-execute-review" cycle. Key decisions and potentially destructive actions remain subject to human review.
