[Michael Saylor: The Digital Asset 'Gold Rush' Will Last Until 2035, Strategy Has No Fixed BTC Holding Target] BlockBeats News, October 9 — Strategy founder and executive chairman Michael Saylor stated in an interview with Binance that the period from now until 2035 represents a 'gold rush' era for digital assets. He noted that the crypto economy remains relatively small compared to other global asset markets and is currently in a phase of rapid growth. Saylor believes that by 2035, 99% of Bitcoin will have been mined, which is one of the reasons he considers the industry to still be in its early stages. Saylor described Bitcoin as 'digital capital' and identified four key drivers of adoption: ETFs and wrapped Bitcoin products, treasury companies, digital credit, and bank collateralized lending. He emphasized that Strategy does not have a fixed Bitcoin holding target: 'We accumulate Bitcoin as we raise capital.' The company’s holdings have grown to approximately 848,000 BTC. He explained that digital credit products like STRC are designed to offer volatility and cash flow characteristics different from directly holding BTC, catering to investors who cannot tolerate Bitcoin's price fluctuations. STRC is a perpetual preferred stock issued by Strategy that pays cash dividends. Additionally, Saylor highlighted the importance of Bitcoin's 200-week moving average and the premium or discount of its price relative to this average. He also noted that funds previously flowing into AI and large private equity financing are now beginning to return to the crypto market.
