[Crypto Projects Compete to Integrate Anthropic's Newly Launched AI Security Scanner] Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on October 9, according to Cointelegraph, Anthropic recently launched a new opt-in service called OSS Scanner, aimed at assisting open-source developers in identifying and fixing vulnerabilities before attackers exploit them. The project, initiated by Anthropic, promises to generate vulnerability reports using the most powerful AI models, including Claude Mythos, to provide open-source projects with the strongest defense advantages. Data reveals that several crypto companies, including Ethereum client developer Nethermind and Bitcoin Lightning Network wallet ZEUS, have submitted applications to join. Pull request records on GitHub show that Nethermind has applied for a review of its entire repository, while self-hosted wallet ZEUS has requested detection of weaknesses affecting payments, private key security, and Lightning Network service connections within its application. Beyond the crypto sector, other applicants include decentralized cloud computing marketplace VirtEngine, AI assistant developers, and machine learning infrastructure providers. Anthropic stated that it will evaluate each application case-by-case based on the importance of the project to infrastructure and user security, the exposure surface to remote attacks, and the level of dependency.
