[BitGo Sued by DWF Labs-Linked Companies for $141 Million]
According to a report by Crypto Briefing on October 9, two companies associated with market maker DWF Labs have filed a lawsuit against crypto custody firm BitGo, seeking $141 million in damages. The plaintiffs allege that BitGo violated a token lock-up agreement by releasing or selling the custodial tokens before the agreed lock-up period ended, thereby depressing the token's market value and constituting a breach of contract. The lawsuit was reportedly filed around October 2, and as of October 9, BitGo has not publicly responded. The allegations have yet to be reviewed by the court. The report also mentioned that BitGo is involved in a separate breach of contract dispute with Galaxy Digital over a terminated $1.2 billion acquisition deal, as well as a federal securities class-action lawsuit filed in June 2026. These legal exposures have become significant variables in assessing the company's standing.
