The last time I had a face-to-face chat with @taida88 Jeff was at last year’s 2049. I was surprised he still remembered what I said and the suggestions I gave. As the most active head of product from a major exchange on Twitter, Jeff is truly down-to-earth and has incredible execution skills. I’ve seen multiple times where retail users complain about Binance products on Twitter, and he immediately shows up in the comments section, followed by the product team quickly resolving the issue. I had a big proposal in mind about upgrading and improving Binance CEX and wallet features. After patiently listening to me, Jeff told me they were already almost done and about to release it. I was like... This time, I also chatted with some overseas competitors. They’re brainstorming ways to attract more Asian users to their products. But honestly, I feel like a big part of it is that these Chinese exchanges are just too competitive—everything from products to services to VIP perks. Look at CZ, Yi Ge, Lao Xu, and even Sun Ge—they’re all constantly hustling. With that kind of energy at the top, it’s hard for the teams below to take it easy. In the end, it’s the users who benefit, right? When you compare CEXs in Europe, the US, and other regions, it feels like we’re eating scraps in comparison. You don’t realize it until you actually compare.
