Over 80 chains can deposit into the same vault, but that doesn’t mean each chain gets its own separate vault. On October 8, Chainlink launched CCIP Vault Adapters, enabling standard ERC-4626 vaults to accept deposits from over 80 supported chains. However, strategies, accounting, governance, and risk management remain on the vault’s native chain. Aave, Lombard, Venus, and others are adopting this, but the actual rollout progress varies by product. The next step for cross-chain isn’t creating more vaults, but expanding the entry points without breaking up the ledger and risk management. #DeFi #Chainlink
