[JPMorgan: Retail Funds Flow Back to Tech, Tech ETF Inflow Percentile Rises to 73%] Deep Tide TechFlow reports, according to Trend Research, JPMorgan's October 7, 2026 research note indicates that retail investors saw a weekly inflow of $5.7 billion, below the 12-month average of $6.7 billion. The inflow percentile for tech sector ETFs rose from 4% four weeks ago to 73%. The top five stocks purchased were NVIDIA ($834 million), Google ($265 million), SNDK ($150 million), MU ($135 million), and STX ($129 million). Consensus expectations for Q3 earnings season project a growth of 31%, or 27% excluding energy. JPMorgan believes retail investors are net buyers across the tech sector, with semiconductors, hardware, and software all favored, and software returning to focus. Whether this rotation can continue depends on validation during the Q3 earnings season. Large banks, which have underperformed recently, may see a rebound opportunity ahead of earnings reports, with net interest income expectations improving. In Brazil, after EWZ surged 13% on Monday, retail investors took profits. JPMorgan strategists believe the index could rise another 20% in the short term.
