The embassy warned of potential risks such as flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions. The embassy stated that Houthi forces have attacked Saudi airports four times this week, including King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, located deep inland. Saudi aviation authorities reported that the airport attacks on October 6 and 7 resulted in three fatalities, one of which occurred at King Khalid International Airport. The U.S. Embassy had previously advised citizens to avoid areas near the Yemeni border and restricted U.S. government employees from traveling to those regions.
