This doesn’t yet mean OpenAI’s solution is incorrect. However it means there are major hallucinations between the solution and the verification which could render it invalid. There are a lot of real math advances happening. But they are also dumping thousands of years of human validation work out at once, and it takes a very long time to prove or disprove.
