[NUVA, a subsidiary of Animoca, launches HOME token, opening U.S. home equity credit market to non-U.S. investors] According to Deep Tide TechFlow on October 8, as reported by CoinDesk, the real-world asset (RWA) marketplace NUVA has launched a tokenized product called HOME, allowing eligible non-U.S. investors to participate in U.S. Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) asset pools. The minimum investment threshold is 1 USDC, with a target annualized return of 7% (reset monthly). The token complies with the Ethereum ERC-20 standard, and the underlying assets are home equity loans originated by the fintech company Figure Technology Solutions. Token holders do not directly own individual loan rights but instead have exposure to the overall risk of the asset pool, with the token price determined by the net asset value derived from interest income and loan performance. The product has no lock-up period and allows redemption requests at any time (expected to take approximately two U.S. business days). It also includes a 5% liquidity buffer and approximately 5% first-loss equity to mitigate default risks. Additionally, the initial asset portfolio requires borrowers to have an average FICO credit score of no less than 735 and a combined loan-to-value ratio (CLTV) of no more than 69%. Relevant loan metric data will be publicly available on-chain. The product is not currently available to jurisdictions including the United States, the United Kingdom, mainland China, and Hong Kong.
