After the upgrade, the ERC20Vault of the Taiko Bridge now supports Permit and Permit2, allowing users to bridge tokens without initiating separate Approve transactions. The gas limit for Ether payments on the Taiko Bridge has also been increased, and a new BridgedERC20V2 template has been deployed on both L1 and L2.
