Remember GenLayer that I mentioned last time? Let’s talk about it again today. Right now, you can still participate for free—just need a Twitter account to join. It’s super easy, no need to invest any money. If you’re interested, you can get involved now, spend some time learning about the project, completing tasks, and see if there are any surprises when the TGE happens.

Doing business between Agents isn’t as simple as it sounds. Getting AI to find services, place orders, and make payments is just one part of the transaction. For example, if you ask an Agent to buy a research report and they deliver a pile of nonsense, does that count as completed? Should the payment go through? These issues can’t be easily resolved with just transaction records and pre-written rules.
What GenLayer is working on is on-chain arbitration. Developers can use Python to write Intelligent Contracts, allowing multiple validators connected to AI models to read web pages, understand requirements, verify evidence, and then vote to form a result. If you’re not satisfied with the result, you can appeal and expand the review scope. This mechanism could be applied to things like delivery acceptance, prediction market settlements, and milestone payments.
The more capable Agents become, the more willing they’ll be to spend money on behalf of others, but the responsibilities and disputes behind transactions will only get trickier. Who fulfilled the agreement? Who should get paid? There needs to be a mutually agreed-upon process to handle these issues. Adding more AI votes doesn’t guarantee the right decision—it ultimately depends on the reliability of the arbitration and whether applications are willing to adopt it. But the problem it’s trying to solve is very real, and it’s worth keeping an eye on.
