THE BLOCK: Starknet is considering becoming an independent Layer 1 blockchain to control its own security upgrades, co-founder Eli Ben-Sasson said. The Layer 2 currently relies on Ethereum's underlying security, and Ben-Sasson said Starknet could become quantum-resistant by 2027.
