Jacob Creech: Solana Has a Quantum-Resistant Pathway, Users Need Not Worry About Security Risks

Jacob Creech, a developer from Solana's core development team Anza, stated that Solana users need not worry about cybersecurity risks stemming from quantum computing or AI-assisted attacks, as Solana has a clear response pathway. Solana utilizes the Ed25519 signature algorithm, where private keys are generated by hashing a secret seed, making it impossible for attackers to obtain the secret seed. Solana can implement network upgrades that allow account owners to migrate to secure signature schemes based on hash-based proofs. A related proof-of-concept (PoC) project has already been open-sourced on GitHub.
