Bitcoin’s rebound is lacking trading volume and fresh capital support, while short-term holders are taking profits as BTC moves higher.
> Fresh capital is not keeping pace with the recent repricing
Bitcoin’s Realized Cap increased by $12.8B over the past 30 days, while spot Bitcoin ETF flows, stablecoin growth and corporate treasury buying brought in only $4.9B of new money. That covers less than 40% of the increase.
> At the same time, recent buyers are increasingly taking profits as Bitcoin rises
On Oct. 4, about 86% of BTC sent to exchanges came from short-term holders in profit, the highest share in the past year.
This helps explain why the latest Bitcoin push higher has struggled to gain stronger momentum. Incremental demand remains limited while profitable short-term supply is returning to exchanges.
