[Wells Fargo Plans to Discuss Crypto Trading Liquidity Collaboration with Kraken's Parent Company Payward] According to a report by CoinDesk on October 8, citing sources familiar with the matter, Wells Fargo is in discussions with Kraken's parent company Payward regarding a collaboration on crypto trading liquidity. If an agreement is reached, Payward will provide liquidity support for its crypto asset trading. The negotiations are still ongoing, and there is no guarantee of a final agreement. Wells Fargo has already offered spot Bitcoin ETFs to some wealth management clients and has invested in Elliptic and Talos. The bank also plans to launch blockchain-based deposits and participate in a U.S. dollar stablecoin project. Meanwhile, Payward is in talks with BNY regarding infrastructure collaboration in areas such as custody, trading, payments, and wealth management. This reflects the accelerating trend of major U.S. financial institutions establishing partnerships with mature crypto companies.
