NEW: A New York jury found cybersecurity consultant Jonathan Spalletta guilty of stealing nearly $55 million in cryptocurrency from the Uranium Finance exchange in two attacks in 2021, Bloomberg reports. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
Prosecutors said Spalletta used crypto mixers, including Tornado Cash, to launder the funds and later spent millions on rare Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering cards, an ancient Roman coin and a piece of the Wright brothers' Flyer.
