🇲🇰 🇬🇷 Today, I received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic, Ioannis Maloukos. Greece is an important neighbour and a potential strategic partner. I look forward to opening a new chapter in our relations, grounded in good-neighbourly relations and a bona fide policy. As the country in the region with the longest experience in the European Union, the Hellenic Republic has a historic and political responsibility for the European integration of the Western Balkans. Ahead of Greece’s Presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2027, I expect a strengthened Greek engagement towards fulfilling the commitments of the Thessaloniki Agenda, adopted back in 2003. I wish Ambassador Maloukos good health and every success in his work.
