[World Gold Council: Global Gold ETFs Inflow Reaches $31 Billion in Q3, Setting a New Record]
The World Gold Council report pointed out that in September, global gold ETFs attracted $10 billion in inflows, pushing the third-quarter inflow total to a record-breaking $31 billion, primarily driven by funds listed in Europe and North America. Despite a decline in gold prices, global gold holdings increased by 67 tons, reaching a record high of 4,256 tons, while total assets under management fell 7% quarter-on-quarter to $574 billion.
At the national and regional levels, the record-breaking inflows in the third quarter were led by the United States, followed closely by strong contributions from UK-listed funds. The UK recorded its strongest quarter ever, helping Europe achieve the same milestone at the regional level.
