[Bitcoin Drops to Around $84,200, Stair-Step Uptrend Structure Remains Intact]
BlockBeats News, October 7: On Wednesday, Bitcoin briefly dropped to approximately $83,500 and is now fluctuating around $84,200, down more than 2% from Tuesday's high of about $86,500. However, it remains within the $83,000 to $87,000 range formed over the past two weeks, and the months-long 'stair-step' uptrend structure has not been disrupted. Giottus CEO Vikram Subburaj stated that since July, BTC has formed a stair-step pattern through a series of progressively higher consolidation ranges: mid-July to August 18 saw fluctuations mainly between $62,000 and $67,000, followed by a 21% surge over three days; late August to mid-September saw movement within the $76,000 to $81,500 range, and from September 19 to 21, it rose another 6.6%, subsequently stabilizing in the $83,000 to $87,000 range. Subburaj pointed out that $83,000 is the current key support level, and a decisive break below it could signal a failed breakout in September, potentially leading to a retest of the $80,000 to $81,500 region. FxPro Chief Market Analyst Alex Kuptsikevich, on the other hand, believes that the $84,000 level is a more critical support point, and a breach below it could lead to further declines toward $80,000.
