[Binance September Customer Holdings: Bitcoin Increased by Approximately $537 Million, Ethereum Decreased by Approximately $499 Million] According to a report by BeInCrypto on October 7, data from Binance's Proof of Reserves indicates that in September 2026, Binance users' Bitcoin holdings increased by approximately $537 million, while Ethereum holdings decreased by approximately $499 million during the same period. Bitcoin was the only major asset with a growth in customer balances, with holdings rising by 0.91% to approximately 688,573 BTC. Ethereum balances dropped by 4.61%, USDT holdings decreased by 0.87%, and BNB fell by 0.77%. The report noted that Binance did not provide an explanation for the changes, nor did it clarify whether the same group of customers sold ETH to buy BTC. In terms of reserves, Binance's coverage ratio for customer deposits across eight assets exceeded 100%, though the buffer varied: it held 691,004 BTC against customer holdings of 688,573 BTC, resulting in a surplus of 0.35%, or approximately 2,431 BTC. Ethereum reserves, however, showed nearly zero surplus.
