[VanEck CEO: Accelerated Nuclear Power Approvals Could Boost Both AI and Bitcoin] According to a report by CryptoBriefing on October 7, VanEck CEO Jan van Eck stated that approving more nuclear power projects could simultaneously enhance AI and Bitcoin. On one hand, it could increase the value of AI, and on the other, it could alleviate Bitcoin selling pressure by providing miners with cheaper energy. He pointed out that both AI and Bitcoin mining rely on massive amounts of electricity, and whoever controls affordable and reliable energy will hold the economic advantage for both. Bipartisan support for nuclear energy in the U.S. is strong, with a goal to quadruple nuclear power output within 25 years, as evidenced by the accelerated restart of the Three Mile Island reactor. VanEck's Head of Digital Asset Research, Matthew Sigel, noted that miners, with their long-term power contracts and infrastructure, possess undervalued option-like potential. If miners shift toward AI contract revenues, the pressure to sell Bitcoin would be correspondingly reduced.
