‘The Riemann Hypothesis?!?! Are you kidding me? If a human managed to solve this, they’d win the Fields Medal on the spot, no doubt about it.
The Riemann Hypothesis states that the ζ function has no zeros in the region where Re(s) > 1/2.
Until just now, our best result was only a narrowing region along the imaginary axis as it goes upward.
I originally thought that they (OpenAI) might, at most, slightly widen this region, and even that would already be a huge breakthrough. But no. They got an entire zero-free strip!!! Insane.’
