[Monid Secures $7.7 Million in Funding to Build a 'Unified Checkout' for AI Agents] According to a report by CryptoBriefing on October 7, San Francisco-based startup Monid has raised $7.7 million in funding. The company's product is positioned as a 'unified checkout' for AI agents—enabling agents to discover, compare, and invoke third-party APIs and tools on a per-use basis through a single prepaid account, eliminating the need to individually set up accounts with vendors. This funding round comes just about a month after its September 1 announcement of a $2.1 million pre-seed round. The company has also released a core engine based on Deno 2 and TypeScript under an MIT license. Monid is being referred to as the 'tool version of OpenRouter,' with a per-call cost of approximately $0.0013, plus a 10% platform fee. Failed calls are not charged.
