[Coinbase Launches Real-Time Cryptocurrency Price Prediction Market] According to a report by CryptoBriefing on October 7, Coinbase launched a real-time cryptocurrency price prediction market on October 6. U.S. users can place bets on the rise or fall of assets like BTC, ETH, SOL, and BNB within a minimum 15-minute window. The contracts are located next to the regular buy/sell buttons, where users can select an asset, a time frame, and a direction (up/down) to execute a trade. Each binary event contract pays out $1 for a correct prediction, while incorrect predictions result in a total loss. Deposits can be made using USD or USDC, and the platform allows real-time operations alongside existing positions on the same screen. This product is offered by Coinbase Financial Markets, which is a member of the CFTC and NFA; however, it is not available in certain states like Nevada. Previously, in December 2025, Coinbase had launched sports and political prediction markets via Kalshi.
