[Securitize Partners with LG CNS to Develop Tokenized Assets in Korea] According to a report by Cointelegraph on October 7, tokenization platform Securitize announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with South Korea's LG CNS to develop tokenized assets and digital infrastructure for Korean financial institutions. The two parties will explore tokenized funds, stocks, stablecoins, and opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region. Following the announcement, Securitize (SECZ) surged nearly 8% in early trading on Tuesday to approximately $12.60. Last week, the Korean Financial Services Commission proposed regulatory rules for the issuance and circulation of tokenized securities, with the framework expected to take effect in February 2027. On the same day, LG CNS launched a blockchain platform to assist banks in supporting stablecoins and tokenized securities. Securitize went public on the NYSE in July through a merger with SPAC Cantor Equity Partners II.
