Rallying 4 Recovery brought Jamaica’s story of resilience to the international motorsport stage. Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, Filippo Marchino and his team carried Jamaica’s colours and message of support to Rally Monte Carlo. His rally car proudly displayed the Jamaican flag and the message, “The world stands with Jamaica, the world cares,” while funds raised through the Monte Carlo effort went towards Hurricane Melissa relief. Filippo and his co-driver, Alex, also paid a courtesy call on me and presented me with the racing suit worn during the rally, along with a model of the rally car. I thank Filippo, Alex, Jeffrey Panton and everyone involved in Rallying 4 Recovery for standing with Jamaica and using their platform to support our people as we continue the work of recovery.
