FRANCE READY TO BYPASS PARLIAMENT FOR €43 BILLION IN CUTS
French Finance Minister Roland Lescure says the government is prepared to use constitutional powers to pass its 2027 budget without a parliamentary vote if negotiations fail.
The plan includes roughly €43 billion in spending cuts, with Lescure insisting the deficit must not exceed 5% of GDP.
Invoking Article 49.3 could trigger a no-confidence vote, raising political risk as French borrowing costs remain under pressure.(彭博社)
