Between September 28 and October 4, Strategy spent a total of $28.7 million to purchase 334 Bitcoins, with an average buying price of approximately $85,839 per Bitcoin. During this period, 92,894 shares of MSTR common stock were sold through ATM on the market, generating net financing of about $15.7 million, with no preferred shares sold.
As of October 4, MSTR's bitcoin:native holdings increased to 848,000 Bitcoins, with a total acquisition cost of approximately $6.397 billion and an average holding price of around $75,441 per Bitcoin.
Over the past week, MSTR also spent $176.3 million to repurchase 1,773,802 shares of STRC, with an average repurchase price of approximately $99.39 per share based on disclosed amounts. Of the funds used to purchase Bitcoin this week, $15.7 million came from the net proceeds of selling MSTR common stock, while an additional $13 million came from existing cash reserves.
The STRC repurchase was funded with $154.1 million in existing cash, along with $22.2 million generated from interest income on cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments.
The combined expenditure for Bitcoin purchases and STRC repurchases totaled approximately $205 million. Following the repurchase, the remaining authorization for the preferred stock buyback program is $547.2 million, while the MSTR common stock buyback program still has $1 billion available. This week, MSTR also utilized $142.5 million in reserves to pay preferred stock dividends and debt interest.
As of October 4, the dollar reserves supporting preferred stock dividends and debt interest payments amount to $4.88 billion, with an additional $833.4 million in cash available for Bitcoin purchases, replenishing dollar reserves, and other capital management purposes, totaling approximately $5.713 billion.
