Vitalik: AI will become the new user interface On October 6, 2026, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin @VitalikButerin shared at the OKX NOW @okx event in Singapore that AI will increasingly serve as the new user interface in various scenarios. He recounted his experience of using a local AI Agent to write scripts, completing an ENS update in about five minutes, and expressed that performing complex on-chain operations without traditional interfaces could become the norm. While this may reduce security risks associated with traditional frontends, it also introduces new challenges such as prompt injection, the security of AI itself, and whether AI can accurately interpret on-chain operations.
