[ECB Chief Economist: No Significant Second-Round Inflation Effects Observed]
Jin10 News, October 6 – European Central Bank (ECB) Chief Economist Philip Lane stated that the high energy costs in the Eurozone have not yet triggered second-round inflation effects, and the transmission intensity of such effects remains unclear. Lane said: 'So far, we have not seen very strong second-round effects. We will continue to monitor this situation. Therefore, while I advocate for various scenario analyses, it is overly simplistic to say we are in an adverse scenario or a baseline scenario.' Lane added: 'Although energy prices are very high, their transmission intensity to other sectors of the economy remains uncertain.'
