[Polymarket Files Lawsuit in The Hague Court to Overturn Dutch Ban] BlockBeats News, October 6: According to a report by *Financial Daily*, Polymarket has filed a lawsuit in The Hague Court seeking to overturn the Dutch ban against it and restore market access. The Netherlands Gambling Authority (Ksa) determined in February this year that Polymarket is an unlicensed gambling platform rather than a prediction platform and ordered it to cease services for Dutch users. Due to the delay in ceasing operations beyond the deadline, Ksa has imposed a fine of €420,000. Polymarket plans to argue in court that its event contracts are more akin to financial products such as futures and should fall under the supervision of the Financial Markets Authority (AFM) rather than the Ksa.
