Even though I wasn’t there in person, I watched the livestream online, and honestly, it hit me pretty hard. I’m starting to feel more and more that the biggest change in Crypto right now isn’t about how many new chains or protocols are coming out. It’s that this space is slowly breaking out of its bubble. In the past, when people talked about the Crypto ecosystem, it was mostly about chains, wallets, DeFi, exchanges—basically just Web3 playing within its own sandbox. But after listening to the OKX NOW presentation, things feel different now. Stablecoins are moving toward payments, RWA (Real World Assets) are starting to connect with traditional assets, trading platforms are handling more global assets, and AI is stepping into financial scenarios. There’s really just one signal behind all of this: Crypto is evolving from being a standalone track into becoming a foundational layer that connects different financial scenarios. So I think what’s truly worth watching next isn’t necessarily who’s launching a new chain. It’s who can genuinely connect Crypto, payments, traditional finance, and global assets together. As the space grows bigger, the boundaries are actually becoming blurrier. This might just be the most important shift to watch in Crypto’s next phase. And this is only the beginning.
