[Crypto PAC Supports Funding for 32 Pro-Crypto Congressional Candidates] According to a report by Jinse Finance, on October 6, the cryptocurrency political action committee Fairshake, funded by Coinbase, Ripple Labs, and a16z, announced its support for 32 House candidates in the 2026 U.S. midterm elections. All of these candidates had voted in favor of the *Digital Asset Market Clarity Act* (CLARITY Act) in 2025, a bill currently stalled in the Senate. Fairshake will initially allocate $6 million to fund six of these candidates, with each receiving $1 million. The list includes three Democratic and three Republican incumbents. Among the 32 candidates supported in this plan, 19 are Republicans and 13 are Democrats. The PAC is expected to spend over $100 million on campaign ads for both the House and Senate races in 2026, with at least $30 million allocated to the Ohio Senate race to support Republican candidate Jon Husted. A Fairshake spokesperson stated that the organization is issue-driven and supports pro-crypto, pro-innovation candidates across party lines. Fairshake holds $122 million in cash reserves and aims to build the largest pro-crypto coalition in the U.S. Congress. According to data from the consumer advocacy group Public Citizen, the PAC had already spent $82 million on campaign ads as of June. Polls indicate that Democrats are poised to secure a majority in both the House and Senate by 2027.
