[Kaiko Report: Euro Stablecoins Account for Only 7.46% of Euro Crypto Trading Volume, Fiat Pairs Still Dominate] According to a report by CryptoBriefing citing Kaiko on October 6, euro stablecoins account for only 7.46% of the total euro-denominated trading volume on centralized exchanges, with most transactions still conducted via direct euro fiat trading pairs. In 2025, euro-denominated spot trading volume is expected to reach €362 billion, a year-on-year increase of 31%, with a monthly average of €28.5 billion. Bitvavo is projected to account for 44% of global euro spot trading volume between 2025 and 2026, ahead of Kraken and Coinbase, with an average spread of 0.981 basis points for euro trading pairs. Euro stablecoins have grown 7 to 8 times since 2024, but their market capitalization remains below $750 million. Kaiko noted that the European MiCA framework will help improve liquidity.
