🇯🇵JUST IN: Japan's 30-year bond yield has hit a RECORD 4.235%, as the BOJ says AI bond sales are pushing long-term rates higher.
That's the highest since Japan first sold 30-year bonds in 1999, and it only broke above 4% for the first time in May.
The record came as traders waited for Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's policy speech to parliament, per Reuters.
BOJ Deputy Governor Shinichi Uchida called AI "a big positive demand shock," but warned of a correction if AI profits don't follow.
