I recently came across something quite interesting, GenLayer。
I think it can be understood as:
The AI version of Chainlink.
But it's not about solving the problem of price feeding, it's about letting AI help handle some 'no standard answer' issues on the chain.
For example, if an AI agent takes an order, has it completed the task?
Is a deliverable qualified or not?
Did a certain news event actually happen?
It's actually quite difficult for ordinary smart contracts to judge this kind of thing, because the code can only handle deterministic rules.
GenLayer's approach is quite interesting:
Let multiple validators view the data, call AI, make independent judgments, and then vote.
If someone feels that the result is incorrect, they can appeal and proceed to the next round of verification.
Simply put, it means:
AI preliminary review+multi person review+on chain arbitration.
What I am more concerned about is not the story of whether AI can become a judge, but who will judge who fulfills the contract and who breaches it after AI agents truly start trading with each other in the future?
Money can be paid automatically, but if no one judges whether it should be paid or not, then the Agent economy is still lacking the last piece of infrastructure.
Of course, GenLayer is still in its early stages and the mainnet has not been officially launched yet. Whether it can ultimately be implemented depends on the actual applications that follow.
However, currently participation is very simple, as long as you have Twitter, and there is no cost involved.
I usually participate in this kind of thing first.
After all, there's no need to spend money. What if TGE really has a surprise?
