[The number of crypto industry job postings in September rose to 1,241, while applications dropped to less than 20,000]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on October 4, data from the crypto recruitment platform CryptoJobsList shows that the number of job postings by cryptocurrency companies in September increased from 382 in July to 1,241, continuing to rise from 886 in August and surpassing the previous peak of 573 in January this year. The number of companies posting job openings in September rose to 125, compared to 107 in July and a temporary drop to 77 in August.
The platform believes that the recovery in recruitment activity in September aligns with the seasonal trend of business returning to normal after the summer lull in the Northern Hemisphere. However, the data suggests that seasonality is not the sole factor: the number of job postings in August had already doubled compared to July, and a similar surge from August to September was not observed in 2025. In that year, the most active month, October, only saw 373 job postings, with data from July to September remaining relatively stable.
In contrast to the rise in job postings, the number of applications dropped from 25,700 in July to 24,631 in August, and further declined to less than 20,000 in September. CryptoJobsList interprets this divergence as an indication of increasing competition for skilled professionals. Over the past three months, the largest recruitment category has been finance, followed by engineering and trading. Stablecoins, AI, security, and compliance also made it into the top ten. The most in-demand blockchain skills were Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, in that order.
