“Before, we used to have pure dirt... now it looks uplifting!" Residents in the Bedrock community of West Central St. Andrew are celebrating a major upgrade, roughly 600 square meters of new concrete pavement! Beyond paving, the project hired 19 local residents (15 men and 4 women), equipping them with hands-on training in basic health, safety, and concrete laying, building skills that last well beyond this project. Before this project, residents dealt with dust, mud, and water pooling outside their front doors. The community now has clean, paved roads built to handle heavy weather!
