I’ve been talking about organizing a hike for a while now, and a lot of friends have been asking if I’m still planning it. The main reason for the delay is that many of you have too many evening social events and can’t wake up during the day. Plus, Singapore’s climate might not be ideal for early mornings. But hiking at MacRitchie is definitely one of Singapore’s highlights.
Also, the vibe of walking and chatting is totally different from sitting at a dining table. It’s more fun and engaging, especially if you want to deepen your understanding of someone. During a hike, you might gain a fresh perspective on a person or even find a moment to escape the hustle and bustle.
October 7th, 9 AM—yes, it might be a bit hot, but let’s connect with nature before diving into the busy Token 2049 schedule. Especially for those who haven’t walked much lately, it’s a chance to rediscover the simple joys of life.
I think half a loop should be enough—about two hours. A full loop takes around four hours, and I’m guessing some of you might be completely wiped out by then. Half a loop sounds perfect. Afterward, I’ll take you to Ya Kun for some local Singaporean flavors, all sweaty and happy.

PS: Hiking isn’t easy or simple—it takes at least two hours, so please come prepared with sunscreen, mosquito repellent, drinking water, and comfortable flat shoes. Try to arrive 5–10 minutes early; we’ll start promptly at 9 AM and won’t wait for latecomers. If you’re late, you’ll have to hustle to catch up!
Big thanks to @bagel_win and @NeoSoulAI for their support, and to @chessxyz for the planning and assistance. Let’s do this!
